MODEL 4 COMPUTERS FOR SALE:

(1983-1989)
To many enthusiasts the TRS-80 Model 4
was the ultimate development in Tandy's platform of Z80-based home and
small-business microcomputer. Listening
to Model I and III user's requests Tandy added 80x24 screen, CP/M
compatibility, 64K Ram (upgradeable to 128K banked Ram), more speed, function
keys, an easier-on-the-eyes Green CRT, a stylish white cabinet and a decent
operating system. Tandy also released a
portable version (4P) for people on the go, and just at the time when they
could have abandoned the platform altogether they re-vamped the Model 4 with
360K double sided disk drives to take advantage of the newer software and
christened it the 4D. Sold only in USA
and Canada, the 4D is a very rare machine and highly collectable computer to
all TRS-80 enthusiasts world-wide.
All my systems are checked over,
tested extensively and repaired as necessary.
They come with a 90 day warranty, just like Tandy used to offer, and
friendly after-sales assistance should something go wrong after the 90 days is
up.

machine, everything works as it should - has a few marks (see photo) most will
clean off - but it is a GENUINE 26-1070 4D!
The 4D is the last of the original Z80 TRS-80 series, and also
considered the best. Never sold in Australia, those here rarely come up for
sale. Take this opportunity to snap up a rare machine indeed. To source one in
the USA and import it will cost you as much as my asking price of $599

Upgraded TRS-80 Model III Microcomputer
(to Model 4) (Cat No: 26-1065, S/N: 0011143)
Australianised-US
delivery (was 120V/60Hz now is 240V/50Hz) unit started life out as a 48K single-drive Model
III, and has been tastefully upgraded with Model 4 internals (as per Radio
Shack upgrade option kit 26-1123), and so is fitted with Model 4 single 65W
re-capped power supply, RS232C board, and the drives have been cleaned tested
and aligned. All keys work well - all white keys are nice and white. Cosmetic
condition is quite good with the odd mark and scratch here and there. Great TRS-80 for someone after something
different, a Model 4 which looks like a Model III. $450 includes 90 day warranty (just
like Tandy used to offer). Trade-ins accepted. (Note this computer is also
