IAN'S WHERE-IS-AS-IS YARD SALE:

"Recently I've been getting calls and emails from people enquiring about non-running TRS-80s they wish to buy for a repair/restoration project or just for a supply of parts to keep their machines up and running. Previously I've not really entertained this idea because I'd always presumed people would want a fully working machine they can simply take out of the box, plug in and use.

From time to time I'm going to put a machine in this WHERE-IS-AS-IS area. It will be complete (unless noted) and a description of any noted faults and then its up to you if you want to gamble that you can make use of it. IN MANY CASES I COULD PROBABLY JUST FIX THE MACHINE MYSELF BUT HAVE DETERMINED THAT THE TIME (possibly 10+ HOURS) IT WOULD TAKE ME TO DIAGNOSE AND FIX THE FAULT IS NOT WORTH MY WHILE SO THAT IS WHY I'M LETTING IT GO. So you've been warned, the computers which appear in this section are non-runners, aimed at those with the technical expertise to repair them." - Ian.

FOR SALE:

(Added on 8th July 2012)

TRS-80 Model 1 monitor

Standard US issue B&W (RCA) Cat No. 26-1201

Powers up and shows a raster, but no text when connected to a Model 1. I've had a look inside and everything seems to be there. Doesn't appear to have done much work (ie. its nice and clean inside and out), no screen burn, and I don't know what's wrong with it but all the high-voltage side all looks OK. 120V/60Hz version imported from the USA

$50 AS-IS
