Hans Rietveld has developed some adapters to make the TRS-80 business systems: Model II, 12, 16, 16B and 6000. Aimed primarily at adding storage options to the machines in the form of the Lo-Tech IDE adapter, Hans products are the results of many hours of R&D and consultation from other TRS-80s enthusiasts, and the VCF TRS-80 forum. A special mention goes to Prof-80.

"Hans-01" Adapter v2.0

Neat little device connects your 8in TRS-80 to the Lo-Tech IDE adapter. You need to change U2 (74HCT245N) on the Lo-Tech to a 74HCT640N.

"Hans-02" Adapter v2.1

Neat little device connects your 8in TRS-80 to the Lo-Tech IDE adapter. No modification needed to the Lo-Tech IDE so you can unplug it from your 8in TRS-80, and use it on your Model 4 without changing U2.

Used in conjunction with Hans-04 (below) to add a 3 Slot card-expansion arrangement to a TRS-80 Model 12. Model 12s don't come with a card cage, but this one will allow you to plug in, say, a Hans-01/Lo-Tech IDE into one Slot, your video board into Slot 2, and a Hi-Res graphics board into Slot 3.
